castaway {miss chloe}

this post (my very first) is the start of a series titled –
where i pretend i'm stranded at sea, and am thankful i brought with me {insert person, place or thing}. the ship hasn't sunk…just tossing (gently) on the waves soon to reach land again.

indulging in fantasy is a capricious preference of mine. i can't help it, and i have a feeling there will be a whole lot of make believe
to read about here.

on today's inaugural shipwreck, i'm thankful i have chloe to keep me company. some of you may already know chloe. a memory i'll cherish forever is meeting her for the first time, and her peeing all over the floor. she still does this when she meets new people, who bend down to say 'hello'. she was so tiny and weighed less than 3 pounds. naturally, she has put on quite a bit of weight since then (entirely my fault), and just the other day was told she looks like a fluffy ottoman. she didn't take it well.

anyway, she makes a fine fellow castaway, and lucky for us, we're both strong swimmers.
